Pride Amsterdam, a journey of love and acceptance

From the Oosterdok, across the Amstel River, to the Westerdok. The route of this year's Pride Amsterdam will lead through the city's central canals, iconic waterways and scenic bridges. It is on these that spectators will be able to gather to participate in the Parade in an atmosphere of freedom, love and acceptance.

Amsterdam is a city known for its rich history and open culture, which every summer turns into a picturesque sea of rainbows. This annual event is not just a festival; it is a great celebration of love, diversity and the fight for LGBTQ+ rights. Today we remind you why you should go to the world-famous Canal Parade, which can only be experienced in Amsterdam.

The festivities last for as long as a week in the Netherlands, and every day there are extraordinary events and attractions waiting for you. The floating boats are a demonstration of important social and cultural messages. Each boat represents a different aspect of the ongoing struggle for LGBTQ+ rights.

However, apart from the main event, there are street parties that await on every corner of the city. All the parks at this time are filled with dancing and music carried along the narrow streets of the capital. Pride Amsterdam also celebrates the arts with screenings of films that address LGBTQ+ issues, numerous exhibitions and theatrical performances. The Pride Run marathon, workshops, panels and discussions. All this is waiting for you this August in Amsterdam.

We're definitely going to the Canal Parade, which first flowed through the city's canals in 1996, thus making it part of the history of Pride events. Make your mark on this iconic event and join us in supporting the rights of the LGBTQ+ community.

Have fun in Amsterdam xxx
